(Temecula, CA)
September 10, 2009- After winning the last moto in the 450 class in the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross
Championship, Justin Brayton took some time to reflect on everything and wanted
to say thank you to everyone who has taken an interest in him, as well as those
involved in supporting him throughout his journey… Brayton achieved another milestone in his
career, as he won his first moto of his career. This happened to occur on the very last moto of the season at Steel City this past weekend in front
of a great crowd. Justin stated, “This was an awesome
race for me, and a great way to cap off the series and my career with KTM. I really have to hand it to everyone
involved with the Team, including my mechanic Rich, the engine builders,
Leighton, Brent, and Mark, and the suspension guys, Rookie, Toad, and
Rags. It was truly a team effort. The motor helped get me the holeshot in the second moto, and
I was able to hold on to the lead until the end. I also would not have been able to do
any of this without my trainer, Charles Dao. We work so well together, and he has put
in such an effort to help me succeed.” “I also want to thank all of the
sponsors for being so supportive throughout the year, including MDK, KTM, Jagermeister, Bell helmets, Shift gear, FMF, Pro Taper,
Dunlop, and Motorex, as well as Von Zipper and Alpinestars. Etnies, Foremost Insurance Company, Leatt,
Shock Doctor, VRM and Skullcandy have all given me
awesome support. I have been
treated so well by them and I really appreciate it. Muscle Milk has also been great, not
only as a sponsor while I was riding in the Lites class in supercross,
but I use their product during my workouts and to recover after motos. I only
hope I can keep some of those relationships wherever I go next year.” Justin plans on moving up to the 450 class
full-time in 2010. So, as he takes
on this new journey, he would just like to thank everyone involved with the Jagermeister/MDK/KTM team and all of the other sponsors who
make it all possible. “Nobody can do this alone, and on the weekends it
is such a group effort. So many
people become instrumental in getting you on the box. The sponsors provide the dollars to go
race, the team provides all of the resources, the trainer provides the comfort
in knowing you did what you needed to do during the week… it is amazing
when it all comes together. My
parents were there to provide the support on the weekend, and I want to thank
them too. They have been incredible
throughout my entire career. I
would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, again, and I am
looking forward to taking the momentum into my future on the big
bike.” |
